The Northern Territory

Norther Territory map

The Northern Territory (The Top End) is Australia’s true frontier. This is “Barra” country as quite a few years ago the government bought back commercial fishing licences and allowed the Barramundi to become a true tourism draw card. The result is a wonderfully vibrant fishery that blends with the excitement and wildness of the Top End.

Lou lived here for many years and may be found contemplating what he left behind. It was in the days where a fly rod was not to be seen on Top End waters.

Saltwater Crocodile

Making the experience all that wilder is the presence of one of the world’s most feared predators the Saltwater Crocodile. So the Top End remains high on the list of where to fly fish in Australia. Truly a Crocodile Dundee experience.
