Sunshine Coast

Who said you can’t fly fish in paradise?
Endless stretches of beach and surf, scenic hinterland, Noosa, Mooloolaba, Australia Zoo and much more make Queensland’s Sunshine Coast a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the Australian beach. Put into this some of the best saltwater fly fishing available and you have a perfect place to experience the Aussie lifestyle.
There just isn’t a better way of pleasing the whole family while you indulge your passion.
Certain times of the year offer different experiences with March – June bringing some world class tuna fishing within a stones throw of fabulous Mooloolaba beach. Or if a mountain foray is more to your liking then tangling with the prehistoric Saratoga in one of the close impoundments might be the go?

To make your stay on the Sunshine Coast memorable with the best possible opportunity to catch good fish we offer some of Australia’s most experienced saltwater flyfishing guides. And as this is our home base we certainly are able to talk with a lot of local knowledge. Come see us on Queensland’s fabulous Sunshine Coast.
These excursions are conducted by a team of guides who have had many years of local guiding experience to provide you with in-depth information and skills coaching to enable you to successfully fish for any of the numerous estuary and offshore species that inhabit the Sunshine Coast waters.
Numbers per guide are limited to a maximum of 2 participants so that each individual receives plenty of hands-on tuition and maximum fishing time.
To ensure that you fish during the most productive period, start and finish times of an estuary guide will depend on time of year and the tides.
You will be guided and coached in the skills required to catch any one of a number of species. The merits and selection of the different fly/lure patterns for the species you are targeting will be discussed. You’ll be coached on how to overcome the problems caused by wind and current and be shown tips for effective polaroiding and sight casting.
The less experienced fishers will be shown the techniques necessary to effectively fish from a boat – the various retrieve methods, setting the hook and playing the fish, landing and releasing your catch to name a few.
